If your tank is established and your plants and fish and everything is working, do you really need water changes?  Basic maintenance but big water changes needed if your tank is really doing well.

I heard it's good to have some natural sun light pass through your tank during the day. The fish seem happier when there is some sunlight shinning on them.

Make sure you don't overdose. It can lower your ph to an unsafe level.

I am still learning.  Fish loss out of your control is hard. I make sure all is right and still happens.
